Data Protection Notice (KVKK)

Under Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), your personal data may be processed by the company below in its capacity as data controller:

Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

• Planning and delivering our teaching services
• Carrying out contractual processes
• Registering students and following their progress
• Communicating with you
• Carrying out finance and accounting work
• Following up legal processes
• Providing information to authorised persons and bodies

Limited to the purposes above, and within the conditions for processing personal data set out in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, your personal data may be transferred to the following groups of recipients:

• Hosting and database providers: to run the site and to store account, lesson, practice-test and order records.
• A payment institution: to take payments and make refunds.
• An analytics service: to measure how the site is used; measurement cookies are set only with your cookie consent.
• AI service providers: to score and give feedback on your Writing and Speaking answers and to run AI Tutor sessions; the text you write and your voice recordings are processed for this.
• An email delivery service: to send account, password-reset and order emails.
• Public bodies authorised by law: only where there is a legal obligation.

The data controller is established in the United States and the servers of the providers above are outside Turkey, so your personal data is processed abroad and transferred abroad. These transfers are made within the conditions set out in Article 9 of the KVKK.

Your personal data may be collected by automated or non-automated means, through our website, mobile applications, social media accounts, contact forms, phone calls and email correspondence.

We process your data under Article 5 of the KVKK: where it is necessary to enter into and perform a contract, to meet our legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests, provided these do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms. Anything beyond that requires your explicit consent.

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

• Find out whether your personal data is being processed
• Request information about it if it has been processed
• Find out the purpose of the processing and whether your data is used in line with that purpose
• Know the third parties, in Turkey or abroad, to whom your personal data has been transferred
• Ask for your personal data to be corrected if it is incomplete or inaccurate
• Ask for your personal data to be erased or destroyed under the conditions set out in Article 7 of the KVKK
• Ask for the third parties to whom your data has been transferred to be notified of the steps above
• Object to an outcome against you that results from your data being analysed exclusively by automated systems
• Claim compensation if you suffer damage because your personal data has been processed unlawfully
